Local artist/teacher John Brown develops his own interpretations of raku by fusing metals onto elegant ceramic shapes. Bright lusters and metallic sheen dance and vibrate across the surface of these unique forms.

Influenced by Zen Buddhist philosophy in a conscious return to a direct treatment of clay, the raku ceramic vases and lidded forms speak to us of their primal nature.
